This paper studied the estimated cost of the proposed academic building, one of the construction projects using computer-aided software for cost estimates that provided comprehension by putting a cost estimate management approach to be use. For a project to be deemed successful upon completion, the process of creating a thorough project cost estimate is essential. One of the most important and often used project management tools is project costing. It is impossible to predict exact budget demands due to the complexity of projects, the inherent uncertainty of financial performance of building projects, development finance, and the monitoring and regulating of costs and deadlines.

The researchers emphasized the usage of standard practices as well as standard costing for more accurate and reliable estimate. The use of Microsoft Excel was also mentioned as top software used in the process. Data gathered from this are used to elaborate an expected amount of the proposed project. Considering the feasibility of this study in 5 years' time. The calculation of costing is solely based on DPWH rates for materials, labor and equipment. The estimation for the total project cost has standard percentages to be considered. The researchers also took in consideration of some factors that may play valuable part in production rate. The researchers are eager to know the final output and costing for the proposed project in order for project an estimated amount that may carry out the project into action.
