This study assessed the factors influencing construction dilemmas in quality management and conflict resolution in construction projects at NVSU Bayombong and Bambang Campuses. The research sought to identify challenges hindering successful quality management, conflicts compromising quality, and resolutions to address conflicts and compromised quality in construction projects. The data was collected through questionnaires distributed to the project manager, project engineer, foreman, skilled workers, and laborers, resulting in a sample of 39 respondents out of 47. Statistical analysis was conducted using the ANOVA, z-test, Pearson correlation, and a 4-point Likert scale.
The study identified factors impacting construction quality, such as delayed cash flow emerging as the most significant, severe weather, safety concerns, resource constraints, non-compliance issues, language barriers, inadequate training, and ineffective communication. Additionally, the need for days due to variation order, time extension/suspension, and percentage of slippage. The proposed resolutions for conflict resolution encompassed the adoption of technological advancements, reduction of delays and cost overruns, promotion of job satisfaction, implementation of conflict resolution processes, and enhancement of client satisfaction.
