The researchers conducted a performance evaluation of the Pico hydroelectric generator. The generator's performance was evaluated in terms of theoretical power, actual power, and system efficiency. It was analyzed using Linear Regression at 100% level of significance using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Test.
Results showed that the system efficiency is directly proportional to the actual power produced by the generator. In addition there are factors to consider when achieving the desired system efficiency of the generator these are, voltage output of the car battery, loads used, and time for the load to discharge the car battery. Moreover, the highest system efficiency at 48.94% was achieved with the total load of 110 watts. Additionally, the payback period attained at 0.61 years with 26,491.62 Net Income.
