The increasing demand for coffee has significantly boosted economic growth, but farmers often struggle with defective beans, resulting in considerable waste. To address this issue, the study proposes a coffee essential oil extractor that utilizes steam distillation to separate volatile compounds and oils from coffee beans, thereby adding value to byproducts in a sustainable manner.

The design and fabrication of the extractor prioritize material durability, local availability, operational simplicity, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Key components, including the boiling tank, steaming tank, condenser, oil/water separator, and control panel, are meticulously engineered for maximum efficiency. The operational process involves extracting oils through steam, followed by condensation and separation.

Preliminary testing of the extractor ensures its functionality and highlights necessary adjustments for optimal performance. This innovative extractor offers a promising solution for managing coffee waste, enhancing environmental sustainability, and contributing to economic growth.
