This study aimed to determine the discriminators of the research achievements of the Grade 12 STEM students in Division of Nueva Vizcaya. It also sought to identify the profile of the students, to determine the levels of research interest, research self-efficacy, interpersonal and instructional perception towards research training environment of the students, and to determine the model that discriminates students with high or low Research Achievement.

This study employed the descriptive and exploratory designs. The descriptive statistics like frequency, percent, mean and standard deviation were used to describe the profile of the students and the levels of research interest, research self-efficacy. interpersonal and instructional perception towards research training environment of the students. Discriminant analysis was used to determine the significant discriminators of high or low Research Achievement.

This study found that Grade 12 STEM students considered themselves interested and moderately efficient towards research activities and research-related tasks. They perceived that the intervention of research training environment was moderately effective in their study of research. Out of nine discriminating variables, the size of school and the Statistics and Probability grade are the discriminators that differentiate the high or low performing of the research achievement of the Grade 12 stem students. Between these two variables that are significant, Statistics and Probability grade is more powerful predictor with standardized canonical coefficient of 0.973 while 0.427 for the size of school. This implies that size of school was also a discriminator but not as powerful as the grade in Statistics and Probability.
