Construction and validation of instructional module in entrepreneurship for secondary technology and livelihood education/ Phoebe Batchine Domingo - xi, 99 leaves : illustrations, photos ; 28 cm.
This study was conducted to find out the effect of modular instruction in entrepreneurship for Secondary Technology and Livelihood Education students at Bagabag National High School, Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya. Specifically, the study endeavored to answer the following questions.
1. What is the performance level of the respondents in terms of their total scores in the pretest and posttest?
2. Is there a significant difference between the pretest and posttest mean scores of the control and the experimental group?
3. Is there a significant difference between the pretest and posttest mean scores of the control group?
4. Is there a significant difference between the pretest mean scores of the control and the experimental group?
5. Is there a significant difference between the posttest mean scores of the control and the experimental group?
6. How do the Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) teachers and Entrepreneurship experts evaluate the module used in teaching in terms of
a) Objective, b) Content, c) Manner of presentation, and d) Relevance
Results showed that the performance level of the respondents in the experimental group (modular instruction) was higher than the control (traditional lecture method). There was no significant difference between the pretest mean scores of the control and the experimental group; There was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest mean scores of the control group, There was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest mean score of the experimental group, There was a significant difference between the posttest mean scores of the control and experimental group. The faculty evaluators rated the modules as "strongly acceptable" to be used in the course.
On the basis of the aforecited findings, the researcher offers the following recommendations and suggestions: 1) Modules are highly recommended in teaching Entrepreneurship for secondary level; 2) The modules prepared are recommended in teaching Entrepreneurship for secondary level particularly for the Technology and Livelihood Education students; 3) A seminar-workshop on the development of modules for use in secondary schools lacking instructional materials be conducted; 4) Similar studies should be conducted in other subjects like Science, English, and Makabayan.
