The study was conducted to identify the correlates of job performance of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) in the province of Nueva Vizcaya, and explored the possible relationship between the profile variables, the personnel related factors, and the job related factors to the job performance of AEWS

The study found out that the job performance of the AEWs was generally satisfactory. Specifically, they have satisfactory performance of their technical works. community development works and very satisfactory performance of their administrative and other related works

The identified correlates for the job performance of the agricultural extension workers in terms of technical works include sex and level of individual autonomy given to the AEWs For the job performance of the agricultural extension workers in terms of community development works, the correlates include monthly salary, level of motivation, and level of individual autonomy. For the job performance of the agricultural extension workers in terms of administrative and other related works, the correlates include level of motivation, and level of individual autonomy.

Hence, male extension workers should improve their performance on their technical works by adopting the strategies used by their female counterparts. Likewise, allowances of extension workers in their field activities should be upgraded to augment the meager salaries of the extension workers for them to perform well in their jobs.

Likewise, administrators of AEWs in the province of Nueva Vizcaya should identify and use appropriate motivational technique effective for each of the AEWs in order for them to be more effective and efficient in their job regarding community development works, and in administrative and other related works

To improve their level of job performance regarding their technical works, community development works, and administrative and other works, a certain level of autonomy in their work should be studied and accorded to AEWs.
