The primary goal of this research is to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on academic performance and flexible learning satisfaction among freshmen Hospitality Management students of Nueva Vizcaya State University.
The study's specific goals were to assess the demographic profile of hospitality management students, as well as their perceptions of the COVID-19's effects on their academic accomplishment, satisfaction with flexible learning, and the interplay of the variables.
The sample for the study consisted of 118 BSHM 1 year students chosen at random from the first semester of the school year 2021-2022. They received a three-part Google Forms-based survey form. The first section concentrated on the respondents' profiles, the second on the impact of COVID-19 on their academic achievement, and the third on their satisfaction with the flexible learning implementation.
The COVID-19 epidemic had both beneficial and negative effects on NVSU Hospitality Management students' academic performance. They believed that the pandemic's significant beneficial impact on their academic performance was putting them closer to accomplishing their career goals. They did agree, however, that their academic performance was hampered by emotions of fear and worry during the COVID-19
