500			_a This study was conducted to evaluate the growth and yield response of white com (Zeu maya) in terms of plant height (cm), leaf length (cm), and weight (kg) under drip fertigation system and farmer's practice (manual) Each covers an area of 40 m² and consists of 9 plots with a total population of 268 plants Results of the study revealed that the drip fertigation method significantly affected the growth of the plant in terms of plant height, leaf length and yield as compared to farmer's practice. The crop under drip fertigation has an average plant height and leaf length of approximately 71.93 and 51.73 em respectively, obtaining a yield weighing 10,900 kg/ha. On the other hand, farmer's manual practice obtained an average plant height and leaf length of approximately 58.82 and 46.19 cm respectively, obtaining a yield weighing 7,700 kg/ha. This results to a yield increase of approximately 17%. Moreover, the water use efficiency of drip fertigation is 5.86 kg/m³. This means that 5.86 kg of con is produced per unit of water used by the crop. Drip fertigation is recommended based on the study conducted as it offers significant benefits on the growth and yield response in terms of water efficiency, increase yield and saves time and labor as compared to farmer's practice. Moreover, it shows a positive return investment value which means that it is cost-effective.
