500			_aThe general objective of the study is to determine the efficacy of Chrysanthemum powder (Tanaceum cinerariaefolium) against brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). It specifically identified the efficacy of chrysanthemum in powder form and compared it with the efficacy of a commercially available powder (carbaryl). The study was laid out following the Complete Randomized Design (CRD), with 6 treatments each replicated three times with the following treatments: Treatment 1 (carbaryl), Treatment 2 (100% Chrysanthemum flower powder), Treatment 3 (75% Chrysanthemum flower powder), treatment 4 (50% Chrysanthemum flower powder), treatment 5 (25% Chrysanthemum flower powder), and Treatment 6 (100% tale powder). Based on the result of the study, Chrysanthemum proved that it has an insecticidal effect against the brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). Although, the result showed that chrysanthemum powder exhibited insecticidal effect it was not as effective as the positive control Carbaryl. However, this plant could provide as an alternative to the commercially available acaricidal powder.
