500			_aThe high post-harvest loss estimates in fruits and vegetables in the country. ranging from 28-42%, highlight a significant challenge in the agricultural sector (Mopera, 2016). Huge volumes of crops are lost after harvesting and eventually go to waste due to improper handling, poor packing, lack of storage facilities and technologies and lack of awareness in post-harvest losses. These result in income foregone for farmers and traders alike, as well as available marketable supply for consumers. In the Municipality of Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya, the average production of satsuma mandarin is 26.15 hectares with an annual volume production of 790.50 MT. Despite the significant volume of production of citrus in the area, no accurate information on post harvest losses was determined and recorded. Thus, the study on post harvest loss assessment along the citrus Satsuma value chain was conducted. The pre-harvest losses recorded the highest percentage caused by sunburn of approximately 64% followed by the over-ripe with a percentage of 28% and the lowest was the decayed fruit with a percentage of 8%. The value chain mapping showed a cumulative loss of 21.71% (11.74 tons) from the harvesting stage to the traders in Solano and NVAT, Bambang, until the produce reaches retailers in Balintawak, Quezon City.Out of the initial 54 tons from farmers, 42.26 tons remain marketable. Post-harvest value chain analysis of Satsuma 'Mandarin' in Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya reveals significant losses along the supply chain which is 15.4% while trader loss is 22.51% with a total of 37.91%. From farm gate price of approximately Php 30-55/kg, retailers are selling citrus satsuma to consumers of Php 100-120/kg
