500 _a This thesis investigates the effects on the compressive strength of concrete using cracked and pulverized clear bottles as partial sand replacement. Four samples were prepared and tested. MPO is the control batch which does not contain pulverized glass bottle. The other batches were MP25, MP50 and MP75 which contains 25%, 50% and 75% by volume of sand replaced. The results reveal that as the percentage of sand replacement increases, the average compressive strength tends to decrease. MP25 demonstrates a slightly higher average compressive strength of 6.77 MPa compared to MPO with no sand replacement with a compressive strength of 6.07 MPa. However, MP50 has an average compressive strength of only 3.73 which is a significant decrease in value compared to both MP0 and MP25. MP75 exhibits an average compressive strength of 5.70 MPa which is between that of MP25 and MP50. These findings indicate that while a small amount of replacement material can positively affect compressive strength, a higher percentage of replacement tends to result in a decrease in strength. Therefore, careful consideration should be given to selecting the appropriate replacement percentage to achieve the desired compressive strength in practical applications.
