SORIANO This study was conducted to determine the antimicrobial effectiveness of Neem leaf extract and onion leaf extract against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli with different concentrations, identify the most effective concentration of combined Neem leaf and onion leaf against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli and com-pare the efficacy of combined Neem and onion leaf extract with that of penicillin and streptomycin. The study was laid out following the completely randomized design (CRD) with the following treatments: T₁- water (negative control), T2- pure/100% NLE, T3-75% NLE, T4- 50% NLE, T5- pure/100% OLE, T6- 75% OLE, T7-50% OLE, Tg- 50% NLE+ 50% OLE, T9- 75% NLE + 25% OLE, T10- 75% OLE + 25% NLE and T- Con-troll antibiotics (penicillin G for Staphylococcus aureus and streptomycin for Escherichia colf). All the extracts with different concentrations have a zone of inhibition but low effect in controlling the growth of Staphylococcus aureus after 12, 24, 36, and 48 hours of observation but no zone of inhibition was observed on the growth of Escherichia coli.
