500			_aThe study was conducted in order to determine the insecticidal and repellent activities of goat dung-based soursop (Annona muricata) mosquito coils on adult mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) Specifically, the study aimed (1) to compare the repellent activity of goat dung-based soursop (Annona muricata) mosquito coil and commercial mosquito coil to Aedes aegypti, and (2) to determine the mortality rate of adult mosquitoes after application of goat dung-based soursop (Annona muricata) mosquito coil on Aedes aegypti. Synchronized reproduction of adult mosquitoes was done A total of 180 adults were used in the study, wherein 20 mosquitoes were used for each treatment There were 3 treatments, each treatment was replicated three times as follows T1- Commercial Mosquito Coil (positive control), T2- Charcoal Coil (negative control) and T3- Dung-Based Soursop Mosquito Coil. The study showed that goat dung-based soursop mosquito coils are comparable with commercially prepared mosquito coils in terms of percentage mortality after 90, 120, 150, 180 and 210 minutes of exposure, with mortality ranging from 30% after 90 minutes to 88.3% after 210 minutes. It is also comparable to commercially prepared coil in terms of repellent activity, since it acts as a mosquito attraction inhibitor. Therefore, it is effective as an alternative insecticide against adult Aedes aegypti. Dung-based sour soup mosquito coil is recommended an alternative to commercially prepared mosquito coil because of its comparable effects. It is also recommended the next researcher will conduct the following: use other plants have insecticidal properties; utilize other animal manure as a base in making mosquito coils; add some aromatic extracts; and practical application of soursop extracts on other animal parasites.
