500 _a In response to environmental concerns in the concrete industry, there's a growing interest in sustainable alternatives, including repurposing waste materials. Eggshells, rich in calcium carbonate and readily available, are viable admixtures for concrete. This research presents an experimental investigation of chicken eggshell (Gaius Gallus Domesticus) waste materials as admixtures for plastering. The researchers conducted a manual application experiment by preparing different batches of plaster mixture with varying proportions of eggshell admixture, which aims to determine whether it is possible for aesthetic purposes. The observations of the characteristics of the applied plaster mixture with eggshell admixture include visible cracks seen in the applied plaster after 24 hours of drying and 7 days of curing. A normal cement mixture as the baseline shows minimal cracks. The cement mixture with 2kg (5%) eggshell admixture shows minimal cracks. The cement mixture with 4kg (10%) eggshell admixture shows moderate cracks. The cement mixture with 6kg (15%) eggshell admixture shows cracks compared to the other three mixtures. Aesthetically, higher concentrations of eggshell particles compromise the plaster's visual appeal. The study reveals that incorporating crushed eggshells into plaster mixtures can improve crack resistance to a certain extent. Mixtures containing up to 10% eggshells strike an optimal balance, enhancing durability without compromising the plaster's structural integrity or aesthetic appeal. Therefore, for practical applications, it is recommended that the eggshell content in plaster mixtures should not exceed 10% to ensure both functional and visual benefits.
