500			_a The construction industry is inherently rife with various risks that can manifest unpredictably, potentially disrupting projects if left unaddressed. These risks encompass a wide array of factors, from safety and health concerns to financial, legal, and environmental considerations. Despite efforts to mitigate these risks, studies such as the PwC Global Risk Survey (2019) indicate that a significant portion of companies remain blindsided by unforeseen risks. Effective risk management strategies are crucial for safeguarding against such disruptions. This study aimed to determine the difference in probability of occurrence and perceived impact of risks, the project risks, and their when grouped according to years of service and type/s of construction projects. A survey- questionnaire is used to collect the data needed from 30 construction companies. Results indicate that while market risks have a higher probability of occurrence and impact, changes in the market pose significant challenges. Interestingly, the study finds that years of service and types of construction projects do not significantly influence risk occurrence, impact, or overall risk scores. The findings underscore the need for proactive risk management practices within the construction industry. Recommendations include further studies on risk management, particularly in occupational safety and health, and the integration of research findings into educational materials for construction engineering management students.
