500			_aHigher education institutions across the nations are mandated to respond to economic, social, and technological challenges in order to be more prepared and responsive to the needs of the students. This study was conducted to determine the Health and Physical Education Teachers' pedagogical approaches and academic performance of senior high school students in the Schools of Division of Quirino. This study employed a descriptive inferential research design. Target population comprised of Health and Physical Education teachers in secondary Schools in the Division of Quirino. A total of 1,348 respondents constituted the study sample. Questionnaires and general point average of the students were used to collect quantitative data from respondents. Findings revealed that the extent of utilization of the pedagogical approaches in the teaching of Physical Education and Health as perceived by the teachers, students and principals is qualitatively described as great extent in the domains of constructivist, inquiry-based, reflective, collaborative, and integrative approach. Similarly, civil status and present position is significantly related to the PE and Health Education teachers' extent of utilization of the reflective approach. The study established that correlation between academic performance of students and the extent of use of different pedagogical approaches by teachers in health and physical education showed no significant relationship. It is recommended that teachers should be encouraged to explore other effective pedagogical approaches and know the proper approach he/she has to choose to ensure effective delivery of instruction and improve students' academic performance.
