500			_aThis study was conducted to determine the efficiency of the water system and asses if the system delivers its function to the consumers. The water system is evaluated according to its efficiency and economic viability. The average number of hours of operation of the pump was 17.72 with an actual discharge of 76, 977.90 lph (1,364,048.47 per day). The water system has a pumping efficiency of 60%, conveyance efficiency of 29%, distribution efficiency of 68% and water used efficiency of 20%. The estimated total water consumption during the study period was 113,010.20 lph while the computed actual discharge was 573, 691.66 lph bringing water loss of 83.59% of the total water delivered. The benefit cost ratio computed for the five year period was less than 1 which is not economically acceptable. The cause of high percentage of water losses are leakages and breakages of pipes and fittings, continuous flow of water from urinals, toilet bowls, faucets and other water facilities in the different buildings and unaccounted leakages of pipelines underground.
