This study aimed to identify demographic variables and practices of science teachers teaching in the multi-grade classes in the Aglipay District in the Division of Quirino that has great influences in the pupils' achievement in science. The descriptive -correlation design and proportionate random sampling were employed in the study using four sets of instruments: questionnaire intended for the teachers, questionnaire for the head teacher / teacher-in-charge, Science achievement test for grades V and Science achievement test for grades VI. All the instruments underwent face and content validation by the experts. The reliability coefficients of the science achievement tests for grades V and VI were computed using the Cronbach's alpha.

The study found out that Female married teachers with relatively few children had positive influence to pupils' science achievement scores. Teachers with higher number of years of experience teaching in the Multi-grade, attended Division level seminars/trainings, and receiving higher salary positively influence the pupils to achieve high in the science achievement. However, the teachers' with BS degree, occupying lower position, not frequently using audio-visual and visual materials positively influence pupils' achievement scores in science.

As to the teachers' practices: The use of other references in making lesson plans, giving science trivia / latest news in the class, maximizing the use of books, giving lecture and activity alternately to the grades V and VI were found could positively influence the pupils in the attainment of high scores in science. While, the frequent conduct of prayers, review lessons, giving of energizers, letting the class watch movies, giving activity sheets, experiment in class, requiring the pupils to copy what was written on the board, and letting the pupils watch movies could influence the pupils to achieve low in science achievement.

The following were recommended: teachers should search an alternative teaching strategy that would improve the academic performance of the pupils, head teachers or teachers-in-charge of the school with multi-grade classes should consider the findings of this study in assigning teachers to teach the subject.
