Generally, the study was a biodiversity assessment of the Bird Breeding Ground and Sanctuary in Barangay Carmencita, Delfin Albano, Isabela, in terms of estimating the density of birds and trees and enumeration of herbaceous plants, fishes, crustaceans and mollusks. Specifically, it determined the diversity indices of birds and trees and provided lists of the fishes, crustaceans, mollusks and herbaceous plants.

The result of the study combining Point Counts and Total Counts shows that the Bird Breeding Ground and Sanctuary has high diversity in birds, high diversity in trees and high diversity in herbaceous plants. The sanctuary has 56 species of birds in which five species (4) are endemic to the Philippines which includes the Philippine Duck (Vulnerable), 30 are residents, 15 are migrants and seven (7) are residents and migrants,
The result of the Point Counts show that the sanctuary has high diversity based on the 696 individuals observed composed of 41 bird species with a diversity index of 0.8346 (D. Simpson's Diversity Index), heterogeneity of 2.42 (H, Shannon Diversity Index), evenness of 0.2742 (e, Evenness) and equitability of 0.6516 (J, Equitability).

The vegetation of the sanctuary was generally open but the tree species has high divinity index. Among the 50 individuals observed, the area has species richness of 14 species of trees with a diversity index of 0.8232 (D. Simpson's Diversity Index), and heterogeneity of 2.111 (H, Shannon Diversity Index), evenness of 0.2837 (e, Evenness) and equitability of 0.6177 (J. Equitability). Although, there are only few individual trees encountered, it has high species diversity.

The sanctuary has 36 species of Herbaceous plants composed of 12 families. There are 23 species recorded from 24 sub-quadrats of 1 mx 1 m with a diversity index of 0.8459 (D. Simpson'
Diversity Index) and heterogeneity of 2.266 (H, Shannon Diversity Index), evenness of 0.4192 (e, Evenness) and equitability of 0.7227 (J, Equitability).

The Sanctuary also has 14 species of aquatic animals in which 8 species are fishes, 2 species are crustaceans and 4 species are mollusks.
