The study determined the breeding, health management practices and reproductive parameters of dairy buffaloes in selected areas of Cagayan Valley through the interview of dairy buffalo farmers (n = 22) and collection of information of individual buffaloes (n=234). The demographic information of farmers, farm operation profile, breeding system, feeding management, and farm health management, were collected and correlated with reproductive parameters. Majority of the reproductive parameters of buffaloes raised are not within acceptable standards. It was observed that the first fertility (46.59%) rate is low, with only 41 heifers becoming pregnant after service out of 88; while 47 out of 88 heifers failed conception (53.41%) after service. Furthermore, calving to first service interval (CFSI) (n = 185) was extended with 43.79% of dairy buffaloes taking more than 90 days to return heat. Calving to conception interval (CCI) (n = 185) was extended with 70.27% taking more than 110 days. Calving interval (Cl) (n = 146) was extended with 45.89% of dairy buffaloes having more than 400 days interval. Analysis using Pearson Chi-square test revealed that calving to conception rate > 110 days has a moderate negative relationship with system of breeding (-0.501; p = 0.018) while the conception interval <110 days has strong positive correlation with feeding frequency (-0.641; p = 0.025) Breeding management and feeding management were identified to be contributory components. The of dairy buffalo reproductive performance parameters were affected by their health. The knowledge, breeding system and health management and practices should be improved in order to improve the reproductive performance of dairy buffaloes in Cagayan Valley.
