The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of greenhouse automation and organic nutrient solution under hydroponic system on the yield performance of lettuce in terms of plant height, plant width and number of leaves.
Results of the study revealed that the plant height, width and number of leaves were affected by greenhouse automation.
On the other hand, the amount of biogas effluent significantly affects the yield performance of lettuce in terms of growth rate and number of leaves. Application of 375g biogas effluent, 1900g moringa and 25g CalPhos per system can increase the yield of lettuce, as compared to lettuce applied only with commercially available fertilizer.
Greenhouse automation and 375g of dry biogas effluent per hydroponic system as substitute to commercial fertilizer for lettuce production under Nueva Vizcaya State University Bayombong Campus condition is recommended.
