Cement stabilized soil blocks known as interlocking compressed earth blocks (ICEB) enable dry stack construction. Because the block are set dry and lock into place, the process of building walls is quicker and requires less specialized labor as a result. However, there is still opportunity to strengthen the interlocking blocks' resilience. More alternative approaches have been developed to replace conventional construction materials, which doesn't consider sustainability factors, particularly those that affect people in the economy and the environment, in order to attain sustainable and green technology in construction. Water absorption is one of the many elements that impact how long bricks last. Low durability will be the outcome of high water absorption. Numerous studies have been done to determine how to make bricks more durable while yet adopting ecologically friendly practices. Bricks can be infected with bacteria as one technique. Brick bacteria caused calcite precipitation (calcite crystals) to form, continually filling the fissures. Brick durability problems can therefore be completely resolved. As a result, interlocking compressed earth bricks (ICEB) from various places in Nueva Vizcaya are created as an alternative to using regular bricks. In terms of price, lead time, and sustainable development, ICEB offers additional benefits. This paper provides an overview of compacted earth blocks that interlock as well as the usage of microorganisms to lower water absorption levels.

Keywords: bacteria, bricks, cement, durability, interlocking compressed earth blocks. low durability, water absorption.
