The general objective was pursued by describing the student-related factors, the faculty-related factors, and the school-related factors; and the level of academic performance of BPE students in their major subjects. It also tested the predictors that significantly influence the level of academic performance of BPE students in their major subjects as well as the relationship between the level of academic performance of BPE students in their major subjects and the faculty-related factors. The study was undertaken in the two campuses of the Nueva Vizcaya State University Bambang and Bayombong campuses. A total of 38 randomly chosen students and five (5) faculty members served as respondents of this study. A structured questionnaire was constructed and administered to the students taking BPE, and the faculty members teaching PE. The data on the academic performance of the students were gathered from secondary sources. The data were analyzed using descriptive (frequency counts, percentages, means, standard deviations) and inferential statistics (Multiple Regression and Pearson r). The study found out that the BPE program of the University is dominated by sophomore Ilocano students who avowed the Roman Catholic faith. Almost all of them did not hold membership to any student organization. Majority of the BPE students have fathers who were holders of secondary diploma and are famers while their mothers were college undergraduate and are managing their own businesses. The BPE students have an average of four (4) siblings. The BPE program is manned by married faculty members with master's degrees whose area of expertise is Music, Arts, PE and Health. They come from various ethnicities professing the Roman Catholic faith. Majority of them sought continuing education and have spent five (5) years in the teaching profession. All faculty-respondents are instructors by rank. In the University, there is enough sports equipment to be used by the BPE students. However, the University cannot fully cater to the needs of its students as it still lacks some sports facilities such as gymnastic arena, boxing ring and swimming pool. Faculty members of the BPE program continuously employ a variety of teaching methods when teaching PE subjects. The BPE students performed satisfactorily in their major subjects. The occupation of the students' fathers predicts their satisfactory performance in their major subjects. PE teachers with master's degrees and those who have been teaching PE for a period of time, have students who performed satisfactorily in their major subjects. The availability of sports equipment and facilities in taekwondo and archery and the use of role playing as a teaching strategy predict the satisfactory performance of BPE students in their major subjects. Specifically, this study aimed to determine the effects of utilizing guppies as partial substitute of the meat in longanisa, embotido and meatballs on the acceptability and quality of the finished products. Guppy was proven to be very rich in protein and calcium. The optimum level of use is 25 percent of the meat component in comminuted meat products. Utilization of guppy fish paste in comminuted meat recipes, particularly embotido, longanisa, and meat balls, result in products that are "moderately desirable" to "very desirable" in quality and general acceptability. Of the three experimental recipes, embotido was found to be the most desirable in terms of flavor, texture and general acceptability followed by longanisa. Ranking for preference likewise indicated that embutido was the most preferred recipe while meat balls was the least preferred. These findings imply that embutido has the highest potential for scale-up production. Using guppy paste as pork substitute in comminuted meat products reduces the cost of the meat formulation from 16.70% to 17.62%. | Thesis (Master of Science - Home Technology Education) 28 cm..

Place hold on Significant nutritional contribution of guppies (poecilia reticulata) and utilization in three comminuted meat products/

Bisa ng pamantayan sa pagsasalin ni newmark tungo sa pagbubuo ng portpolyo ng mga pampamahalaang dokumento sa filipino/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Castro, Lhea T..
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
Further, it used the descriptive-inferential method in determining the relationship between the profile of recipients of project EASE and their extent of benefits derived and problems encountered in the program. This study was conducted during school year 2015-2016 in Solano High School using 51 randomly selected recipients of project EASE who served as respondents. A validated researcher-made questionnaire was used to gather pertinent data that substantiated the theme of this research. Frequencies and percentages were used in treating the data on profile of school and recipients of project EASE and mean and standard deviation to describe both extent of benefits derived and problems encountered by the recipients of the program. Simple correlation analyses were used to test the relationship between variables while categorical regression analysis was utilized in determining the profile variables that are significantly influential to benefits derived and problems encountered by the recipients of project EASE Solano High School's enrolment increased for school year 2013-2014 to school year 2014-2015 for both regular students and those who are under project EASE. Also, there is a decrease in dropout rate among regular students and decrease in the number of students enrolled in Project EASE who were able to complete Grade Ten. Most of the recipients of the project EASE belong to the typical age of secondary students, grade eight, male and with two siblings. Also, most of the recipients' parents’ monthly income range from 6,000-10,000 pesos. Mothers of the recipients have higher educational attainment than their fathers. Further, most of the recipients' parents are living together and approve their child's enrolment to Project EASE. The level of academic performance of the recipients of Project EASE for the School Years 2013-2014 in Filipino, English and Mathematics which was "Approaching Proficiency" turned to "Developing" in the school year 2014-2015. In addition, the recipients greatly benefitted from the Project EASE socially, educationally, and personally/financially. Also, it was found out that the recipients greatly encountered personal, mental and educational problems while enrolled to Project EASE and they moderately encountered social problems. Project EASE recipients whose mothers have higher educational attainment derived higher extent of personal/financial benefits from Project EASE while sex is found to be a strong predictor of the great extent of benefits derived by the recipients of Project EASE but the profile variables of the recipients did not correlate with the problems they encountered while enrolled in the program. Five parameters were used to assess the response of Malakauayan on the different levels of vermipellets added in the potting media such as percent survival, height, diameter, number of leaves and ovendry plant biomass. The study also determined which level of vermipellet would give the best growth of potted Malakauayan (Podocarpus rumphii Blume.). The study was laid out in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five (5) treatments and four (4) replications per treatment. Each treatment had sixteen (16) plants, which had a total of eighty (80) plants. The different treatments were ordinary soil (T1), 2 g of vermipellet, 1 kg of soil (T2), 4g of vermipellet, 1kg soil (T3), 6 g of vermipellet, 1 kg soil (T4), 8 g of vermipellet, 1 kg of soil (T5). The parameters measured in the study were subjective to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to determine the effects of different levels of vermipellet on the growth performance of Malakauayan (Podocarpus rumphii Blume.); the Duncan's MultipleRange Test (DMRT) was used to test the significant differences among the treatment means. Generally, the different levels of vermipellets had no significant effect on the growth of Malakauayan (Podocarpus rumphii Blume) in terms of percent survival, height, diameter, number of leaves and plant biomass. The height of Malakauayan (Podocarpus rumphii Blume.) was improved when added with vermipellet at any levels; however, the highest improvement was attained when grown in Treatment 2 which is 11.71 cm. The number of leaves of Malakauayan (Podocarpus rumphii Blume) was also improved as a result of treatment. Treatment 2 had highest number of leaves, followed by Treatment I and Treatment 4 had the lowest number of leaves. Though the result of the study was insignificant, it had been observed that Treatment 2 (2 g of vermipellet, 1kg soil) yielded highest height, largest in diameter and high number of leaves. The growth performance was observed using the following parameters: height and diameter increments, crown diameter and number of leaves. The statistical analysis indicated that there were significant differences in height and diameter increments. Direct influences of fertilizer on crown expansion and leaf production are unclear. In light of agroforestry system influences, the inherent biophysical factors in the agroforestry site may have contributed to the performance of the rubber saplings. However, the condition of the study area is still at its incipient stages and so the effect of vegetation, soil changes and microclimate are yet to be quantified better. Its land cover is predominantly dipterocarp and karst forests interspersed by citrus orchards and patches of farms. AGB densities were estimated using regression models whose independent variables consist of Landsat 8 bands, vegetation indices and band ratios, and topographic data derived from digital elevation model. Two Landsat 8 data were used because of cloud contamination; hence, two sets of models were derived. The best two models, based on RMSE, have either Band 1 and Band 6 or Band 1 and Band 3 as predictors. None of the topographic variables came out as predictor. The landscape contains around 285,140 tons of aboveground biomass translating to 200 ton/ha. The bulk of this total AGB is found in dipterocarp forest. The large proportion of low-biomass land uses and land cover types such as citrus orchard, cultivated area, betel pepper gardens, and grassland, pulled down the average AGB relative to that of the dipterocarp and limestone or karst forests. Tree crown closure is significantly correlated to most of the Landsat 8 bands, vegetation indices and band ratios, implying that Landsat 8 can be used to estimate the tree crown closure of varying land cover types. On the other hand, percent ground cover is significantly correlated to a smaller number of spectral variables. Except for elevation, AGB estimate seems to be independent of GIS ancillary data, namely, slope, aspect and hill shade. The discrepancy between the projected and actual value increases as elevation increases. The opportunity to model the local context of rainfall in Bayombong is presented by the Weather Monitoring System (WMS) of NVSU. The study looked into modeling the periodic component of the monthly precipitation time series of Bayombong from the WMS rainfall data from 2012 to 2015. Fourier series harmonic analysis was employed through backward elimination stepwise Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) with the method of least squares in mathematical modeling. The four models obtained explained 90 percent variation in the observed data. The model with the first and second harmonics and the cosine term of the fifth harmonics is the best fit model and is parsimonious accounting for the 12-, 6- and 2.4-months periods in the observed data. The best fit model has the highest adjusted coefficient of determination (R) of 0.9043, the least root means square error (RMSE) or magnitude of error of 55.99 mm and the least Akaike information (AIC) of 530.23. The model captured the long term periodic monthly rainfall of Bayombong described as Type III in Corona's climate classification which is relatively dry from November to April and wet the rest of the year. The model revealed that periodic rainfall peaks in July and August and is least in January. Periodic rainfall considerably increases in May and considerably decreases in November. Hence, the model can aid the WMS in providing local farmers practical knowledge about climatic rainfall conditions conducive to farming and can also be used in modeling the rainfall of Bayombong at different time scales. The study was undertaken in six (6) GK sites in the province of Nueva Vizcaya situated at Malasin and Macabenga in Dupax del Norte, Aliaga in Bambang, Banganan in Aritao, Bascaran in Solano and Namamparan in Diadi. A total of 131 respondents were randomly chosen from the study sites. The study was conducted from September to December 2015. A questionnaire was developed and administered to the beneficiaries, community leaders and caretaker team of the GK in Nueva Vizcaya. The data were gathered through an interview schedule, key informants and from secondary sources. The data were analyzed using descriptive inferential statistics. The 0.05 probability level was the critical point of reference for the analysis of data. Results were presented in the narrative reportorial method and portrayed in tabular forms. The respondents have an average age of 42.83 years, predominated by the Ilocanos, mostly married, with an average of three (3) dependents, mostly elementary to high school graduates, predominantly Roman Catholics, engaged in manual labor such as farming, construction workers and drivers, with an average monthly income of P3,265.65, and residing in the GK for an average of 7.47years.The extent of services rendered by various institutions/agencies is high, the performance of personnel assigned to GK sites is high; and suitability of the mechanics of GK implementation was rated as moderately low, The performance of the GK Program in terms of social development was moderately low, community development was measured as moderately low, while infrastructure development is rated as high. The overall performance of the GK is high. The foremost problems experienced by the beneficiaries include the source of potable water for the use of the beneficiaries, the concreting of the farm to market road, and additional septic tanks. Other problems with less severity include sustainability of enterprises/livelihood programs, cultivation of the Bayan-anihan plot for vegetable production, SISTEMA program, health system, health services and facilities, SAGIP values formation activities, SIBOL, pre-school program, and SIGA barkadahan sessions. The performance of GK in Nueva Vizcaya significantly correlated with the number of dependents and years of stay in GK areas. The extent of implementation of the various institutional development support activities inherent to the GK program is directly related to the attainment of the goals and objectives of the GK. The occurrence and severity of the problems affected the performance of the GK in Nueva Vizcaya. With the above findings, it is concluded that beneficiaries of the program who have lesser number of dependents and who have been staying in the GK sites for longer periods have acquired more benefits from Gawad Kalinga program, hence, beneficiaries should be encouraged to practice family planning to have lesser number of their dependents not only for financial reasons but also for better access to health services, education and food sufficiency. Beneficiaries who have been staying fonder in the GK sites should be encouraged to become counselors and mobilizers to motivate newer members in the protection and rehabilitation of the environment, ensuring food sufficiency and in the formation of income generating projects. To attain the goals and objectives of the GK, corresponding institutional development support from agencies and institutions need to be properly implemented as planned to attain the goals of the GK Program in terms of social development, community development and infrastructure development. Unresolved problems in the various components of the GK Program affected the performance of the GK in Nueva Vizcaya. Problem identification through scientific analysis should be done through monitoring and evaluation with the assistance of the implementers to detect potential and persistent problems for its speedy resolutions. | Thesis (Master of Science - Rural Development) 28 cm..

Place hold on Holistic human development through kagawad kalinga: the Nueva Vizcaya experience

Training needs teaching performance of public elementary school teachers in Hungduan district, division of Ifugao/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Cayong, Menalyn U. .
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xiv, 115 leaves : , The study sought to determine the extent of training needs and level of teaching performance of public elementary school teachers in Hungduan District, Division of Ifugao. It also aimed to determine if significant differences exists on the extent of training needs and level of teaching performance using the profile of the respondents as modifier variable. To achieve the above aims, a structured questionnaire was used to gather, analyze, and tabulate the data. The descriptive statistics was used to depict the demographic profile of the respondents, their extent of training needs and their academic performance, In determining the difference between the extent of training needs and academic performance of the respondents when grouped according to their profile, the Chi-square test and Analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used. The 0.05 probability level (level of significance) was the critical point of reference in the interpretation of data. Results and findings were presented in the narrative reportorial method portrayed in tabular forms. This study was conducted in Hungduan District, Division of Ifugao. Fifty eight randomly chosen elementary school teachers of Hungduan District served as the respondents of the study. The study was conducted in December 2015 up to January 2016. Results revealed that the respondents of this study possess sufficient personal and educational background which enables them to teach very satisfactorily. The respondents need to enhance their capabilities especially on Action Research Development, Instructional Materials Development, and Teaching/Instruction. The respondents are performing their job as teachers very satisfactorily. Teachers handling multi-grade classes require more extensive trainings on teaching/instruction than those handling Grade 1 due to the nature of their work and the challenges they encounter in handling various grade levels. Teachers who have been teaching for 11-20 years need more training on modern and updated classroom management that are effective and appropriate to the trend of the present generation than those who have rendered services for 1-10 years whose learning on classroom management are still relevant and applicable. The teaching performances of those who are Master Teacher I are much higher than those holding the position of Teacher III. | Thesis (Master of Education - Educational Administration) 28 cm..

Place hold on Training needs teaching performance of public elementary school teachers in Hungduan district, division of Ifugao/

Perceived anxiety in mathematics and in relationship to mathematical cognitive skills of grade VI pupils in Lamut District, Ifugao/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Bumidang, Marjorie I..
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
viii, 120 leaves : , The study utilized the descriptive-quantitative-survey method of research. Quantitative data were presented to have clearer understanding on the level of measurements in all the indicators of the study. The study was undertaken in three (3) municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya namely: Dupax del Norte, Bayombong and Quezon where there is use and production of hybrid rice. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires administered to 148 respondents composed of 71 agricultural service providers in high yielding. 41 in medium yielding, and 36 in low yielding hybrid rice producing municipalities. This was further enhanced by key informants' interviews. The study was conducted from December 2015 to January 2016. The study used descriptive-inferential method of research. The 0.05 probability level of significance was the critical point reference for the analysis of data results, which were presented in the narrative reportorial method and portrayed in tabular forms. The respondents were mostly 45 years old, mostly males and married, with other sources of income from combination of agriculture-related projects, farm labor, construction, and others. They have low educational attainment ranging from elementary to high school undergraduates and they belong to families with 2-7 household members. Mostly were landless but seasoned farmers with 31 years of experience in farming, who were either tenants, and were either into groups providing services for the pulling of seedlings, or transplanting and harvesting. Respondents were mostly paid per bundle or per day in pulling seedling, by contract for transplanting and harvesting and mostly paid in advance by the land owners. They considered their hiring rate from high to very high in pulling of seedlings, low to moderate for transplanting, and high in harvesting: commonly working for farmers with exceptional behavior, in a very good and safe farm location. And only some of respondents have attended trainings related to agriculture and rice, and very few are members to agricultural related organizations or availed agricultural support programs, but some have hospitalization benefits. Result of the study indicated that the overall competency of agricultural service providers in cultural production of hybrid rice is high. This result is credited with the very good leadership capability of team leaders fondly called as "kabesilya". It indicates further that the higher the capability of team leader, the higher would be the competency of agricultural service providers. Therefore, it is encouraged that team leaders may participate in rice production trainings to further enhance their technical capabilities. Furthermore, agricultural service providers who have other sources of income from combinations of agriculture-related projects, construction, farm labor and others, working on safe environment and on locations with higher yield on hybrid rice but with service providers who command lower hiring or payment rate on pulling of seedlings and have poorer farm location have higher competency on cultural production of hybrid rice. For this, concerned agencies in the province and in municipalities like agriculture offices, training institutions and academe may continue and intensify implementation of livelihood projects and AEWs to equip agricultural service providers in the province to provide more training on agriculture-related and non-related enterprises most especially to service providers who are lesser competent to augment their income during lean-months when work in farm is scarce. The competency of agricultural service providers in hybrid rice production in Nueva Vizcaya is regarded as high and significantly differed on high, medium and low yielding areas. As competency levels of service providers in seeds and seed preparation, seedbed preparation, care and management of seedlings, crop establishment, and crop management improves, yield increases. Agricultural service providers in lower yielding areas may immerse on areas considered as high yielding to improve their skills on previously mentioned cultural practices of hybrid rice production. | Thesis (Master of Science-Rural Development) 28 cm..

Place hold on The competency level of agricultural service provides and yield of irrigate hybrid rice in Nueva Vizcaya/

Training and development practices and the work behaviors of employees in selected private higher educational institutions in Nueva Vizcaya/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Del Mundo Jr., Fernando C..
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xiii, 107 leaves : , Human resource training and development is one way of sharing necessary knowledge and skills to human resource professionals in the organization. This is necessary for a number of reasons why HR professionals are very important in the organization. They need continuous upgrade of their skills and attitudes, necessarily training them to bring them at par with the organization's goals and in tune with the industry trends for well-equipped HR professionals are the means to ensuring optimal performance from the organization's employees (Stuart, 2013). In order to attain quality competent-performance, it is imperative that the members of the human force be highly competent and be at par with the standards of professionalism It was in this context that this study was conceptualized, by embracing the training and development as an integral part of the human resource management among selected private higher educational institutions in Nueva Vizcaya, and how these practices influence the work behaviors of both non-teaching and teaching staff. This study is anchored on determining the relationship of the training and development practices and work behaviors of employees in selected private higher educational institutions in Nueva Vizcaya. The descriptive correlational method was used to determine the relationship of profile variables to training and development practices and work behavior In view of the data gathered, the following major findings and conclusions are drawn 1) Age and gender had a significant positive influence on the determination of an employee to succeed, 2) Highest educational attainment had a significant positive influence on accommodating change, 3) Gender had a bearing on the cooperation in overcoming a problem and willingness to accept responsibility among employees, 4) Source of funding of training and development had a significant positive influence to show enthusiasm, determined to succeed, wanting to accept responsibility and motivation to work. Training and development practices which include orientation, coaching, short term trainings and team building had significant positive influence on the work behavior of respondents. On the other hand, delegation and mentoring had no significant influence to the work behaviors of the respondents. Based on the forgoing findings and conclusions, the following were recommended)) The Commission on Higher Education may formulate policies and procedures to monitor Private Higher Educational Institutions regarding their training and development practices 2) School administrator, and human resource officer may conduct orientation, coaching, short term trainings and team building for school personnel's since these practices greatly influence the work behaviors of employees and 3) Future researchers may conduct related researches in other private HEI's to validate the results and determine other possible demographic attributes which were not included as predictors of the training and development practices and the work behaviors of employees in private higher educational institutions. | Thesis (Master of Arts in Public Administration - Local Government Administration) 28 cm..

Place hold on Training and development practices and the work behaviors of employees in selected private higher educational institutions in Nueva Vizcaya/

Determinants of the level of academic performance in science 9/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Latigay, Ruchi Briam James S..
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xiii, 86 leaves : , This study determined the relationship between academic performance in science 9 and the different factor variables such as demographic profiles, science attitude and mental ability. This study was conducted among the 16 secondary Science 9 teachers and 289 Grade 9 student of the nine secondary schools of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The researcher made use of combination of the descriptive-correlational and linear regression model. The descriptive part assessed the profile of the teachers and students' respondents and the levels of the student's attitudes towards science and mental ability. The correlational part determined the relationship of the profile variables (teachers and students) to the academic performance of the students. Lastly, the linear regression model has been taken to find out the relation between the performances of the students with 7 independent variables. Descriptive-survey type of research was used involving data collection through questionnaires, testing as well as document scanning. Data analysis used frequency count and percentage distribution, mean and standard deviations. To test the relationship among variables, correlation was used while multiple regressions determined the significant predictors or variables. Hypotheses were tested at 0.01 and 0.05 levels of significance. Results showed that the level of the mental ability and scientific attitude of the student respondents were average and along the five scientific attitudes, critical mindedness turned to be the highest and objectivity being the lowest. Most of the student respondents are 'Proficient in their academic performance in Science 9 for the first three quarter of the school year 2014-2015. The academic performance of the students is not directly influenced by the teacher’s profile. Females are performing better and students whose parents are educated are performing better than those whose parents are not educated. Students whose mental ability are high are performing better than those who have low mental ability. The multiple regressions showed that critical mindedness was identified as the best predictor of academic performance. | Thesis (Master of Education in Science Education - General Science) 28 cm..

Place hold on Determinants of the level of academic performance in science 9/

Implication of the ncae-english result on the teaching-learning practices among teachers of northern secondary schools of Nueva Vizcaya/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Yarcia, Wilmar S. .
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xii, 91 leaves: , The implication of the NCAE-English result on the teaching-learning practices among the teachers in the northern secondary schools of Nueva Vizcaya was the focus of this study. The profile of the respondents, the level of teaching performance, teaching-learning practices, sources of problems encountered by the English language teachers were evaluated. Furthermore, the best predictors of NCAE-English rating of the Grade 9 students in the northern schools of Nueva Vizcaya were identified. The study used the descriptive correlational statistics to determine the relationship between the teaching-learning practices and the NCAE-English rating of students. Partial correlation and multivariate linear regression were also employed to identify the best predictors of NCAE-English rating. The profile of the respondents as well as their practices and problems in their workplace were gathered through the use of survey questionnaires which were given to the 62 public high schools English Language teachers of Grade 7 to 9 in the northern district of Nueva Vizcaya. The performance rating in NCAE-English of the 2,543 Grade 9 students in the same secondary schools of Nueva Vizcaya were also gathered and analyzed in this study. Findings revealed that the teacher respondents are young, with two subject preparations, with a very satisfactory Individual Performance Commitment Review (IPCR) rating and who encountered serious problems on students, modules and teachers. Obtained result of Pearson's r correlation showed that teachers who presented clear information and/or gave class instructions, who encouraged students to read varied sources, and who included students' output on play, art project, portfolio, choral recitation, speech choir, etc. yielded higher students' NCAE-English rating. The findings showed that a higher NCAE-English rating could be attributed to the Individual Performance Commitment Review (IPCR) performance rating, teacher's number of preparations, and teaching-learning practice of encouraging students to read materials from varied sources. However, the low performance of students in NCAE-English could not be explained by other teaching-learning practices and some other problems encountered by the teachers. | Thesis (Master of Arts in Teaching - English) 28 cm..

Place hold on Implication of the ncae-english result on the teaching-learning practices among teachers of northern secondary schools of Nueva Vizcaya/

Models of senior high school students: achievement in science as influenced by metacognitive awareness of reading strategies and reading strategies and reading comprehension/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Almendra, Nathaniel R..
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xii, 86 leaves : , This study investigated the Science Laboratory Learning Environment and academic performance of Grade 7 students in Science in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya. This study was conducted among the 267 Grade 7 students in the five public secondary schools. The respondents of the study rated the modified SLLE questionnaire. The data were acquired through a survey-questionnaire consisting of two parts socio-demographic profile and laboratory learning environment indicators. The researcher analyzed the data using descriptive-inferential methods. Descriptive methods were used to present the profile of the students, their perceptions on the laboratory learning environments and academic performance in science. On the other hand, the correlational methods explored the differences and relationships among the factor variables. Results showed that almost two-thirds of the students are females and in their early teens. They are performing very satisfactorily in their science subjects. The science laboratory learning environments are satisfactory. Student cohesiveness indicators and material environment indicators were mostly observed. However, there is an observed need to improve on laboratory materials and equipment. Significant differences were observed in most of the indicators of laboratory learning activities when they were grouped according to sex and ethnicity. Males and respondents with different ethnicities tend to look at the positive side of the science laboratory learning environments. In addition, age, sex, and distance between residence and school of the respondents were found to be significant different by academic performance in Grade 7 Science. Lastly, there was no significant relationship between the perceptions of the respondents about the laboratory learning environment indicators and their academic performance in science except for the rule clarity indicators. This meant that if the laboratory's structure and expectations were not always communicated and implemented during laboratory sessions, then the students tend to have a higher academic performance. This may be attributed to the behavior of the students who tend to explore rather than be stickler of rules. Most often than not, it in this situation that discoveries arise. Based on the foregoing results, the researcher concludes that of the four fruits used in the jam formulation as it only the banana was not compatible with orange pomace in the jam formulations yielded the least desired and least preferred product. These results imply that the jam formulation with tomato, papaya and mango are compatible with orange pomace and that these formulations have the same market potential. | Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Home Technology - Food and Nutrition) 28 cm..

Place hold on Compatibility of different fruits in orange pomace based jam formulations/

Training needs and teaching performance of public elementary school teachers in Hungduan district, division of Ifugao/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Cayong, Menalyn Uyagon.
The descriptive statistics was used to depict the demographic profile of the respondents, their extent of training needs and their academic performance. In determining the difference between the extent of training needs and academic performance of the respondents when grouped according to their profile, the Chi-square test and Analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used. The 0.05 probability level (level of significance) was the critical point of reference in the interpretation of data. Results and findings were presented in the narrative reportorial method portrayed in tabular forms. This study was conducted in Hungduan District, Division of Ifugao. Fifty eight randomly chosen elementary school teachers of Hungduan District served as therespondents of the study.

Place hold on Training needs and teaching performance of public elementary school teachers in Hungduan district, division of Ifugao/

A preliminary application of mathematical modeling to the weather monitoring system (wms) rainfall data/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Hombrebueno, Orville Dulay.
Bayombong: Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xi, 67 leaves : , The opportunity to model the local context of rainfall in Bayombong is presented by the Weather Monitoring System (WMS) of NVSU. The model with the first and second harmonics and the cosine term of the fifth harmonics is the best fit model and is parsimonious accounting for the 12, 6 and 2.4 months periods in the observed data. The best fit model has the highest adjusted coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9043, the least root mean square error (RMSE) or magnitude of error of 55.99 mm and the least Akaike information (AIC) of 530.23. Hence, the model can aid the WMS in providinglocal farmers practical knowledge about climatic rainfall conditions conducive to farming and can also be used in modeling the rainfall of Bayombong at different time scales. The study was laid out in a completely randomized design with the following treatments: T_{r} - Solcoseryl®, T2 - Distilled water. T3-50% CFEE, and T4 - 100% CFEE. Each treatment was divided into 3 replicates with 3 samples per replicate. The study was conducted at NVSU Animal Health Clinic-Veterinary Teaching Hospital (NAHEC-VTH) at Nueva Vizcaya State University Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. Circular excision wounds with a diameter of 0.8 cm were induced in the experimental animals. The wound contraction rates and epithelialization periods were evaluated grossly while histological evaluation of the wounds was performed on prepared skin tissues using the semi-quantitative approach. Results showed that the epithelialization and wound contraction rates of T1 were comparable with T3 and T4. Histologically, the individual parameters show no significant differences except in day 5, where T4 was significantly different from T1, T2 and T3 in terms of fibroblast proliferation, but the overall grading of T1, T2and T4 were comparable in result. It is therefore concluded that 50% and 100% CFEE have healing properties in excision models using mice. It is recommended that further studies be performed to explore the wound healing property of CFEE and its potential.
