The animals were assigned into five treatments using completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments were: T1-0% A.flava, T2-25% A. flava, T3-50% Α. flava, T4-50% A. flava, Ts-100% A. flava concentrations. Feed bought from a local miller was formulated with isocaloric and isonitrogenous. Samples of A.flava was subjected to plant identification and authentication prior to phytochemical analysis to determine the chemical composition. Growth performance, gastrointestinal histomorphology and cost and return analyses were evaluated. Finding showed that broilers supplemented with 25% A. flava had better final weight at 1581.72 g. gain in weight of 1353.06 g. and daily gain in weight. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) of animals supplemented with different concentrations of A. flava is not significant. Morphometric evaluation of 25% A. flava supplementation showed significant result in terms of duodenal villus number at day 20 and day 35 with. Duodenal villus height and cecal crypt depth showed significance with result difference at day 20, Duodenal crypt depth was significantly different in animals supplemented with 25% A flava at day 35. Supplementation with 25% A. flava had better profitability in cost to gain ratio and had the highest return above feed cost among treatments. Over all findings showed that the supplementation with 25% A. flava has positive effect on the growth performance, GIT histomorphology characteristics, and profitability in broilers. Further studies are recommended to elucidate the mechanism involved on the growth promoting effect of A. flava decoction in broilers. | Thesis (Master of Science - Animal Science) 28 cm..

Place hold on Growth performance and intestinal histomorphology of broilers supplemented with “hopal” (arcangelisia flava) stem decoction/

Gross and histopathologic evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract of broilers fed with diets supplemented with effective microorganisms/
<dc:identifier>ISBN:</dc:identifier>

By Codamon, Leizle M..
Bayombong Nueva Vizcaya State University, 2016 .
xiii, 46 leaves : , A study using 96 broilers was conducted to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract of broilers fed with diets supplemented with different concentrations of microorganisms (EM). The experiment was laid out in a completely randomized designed (CRD) with the following treatments T1-0% EM, T-2-1% EM, T3-2% EM and T4-3% EM. The villus height, crypt depth, and villus number of the duodenum, ileum, and cecum were evaluated using ANOVA and DMRI (p<0.05). At day 28 of trial, villus height in duodenum were comparable while in the ileum, T3, had a significant height at 40.92 µm. Crypt depth in duodenum showed that T₂ and T3 were significantly higher than T1, and T4. T3 has significantly higher crypt depth in ileum and T. has the highest result in cecum. In terms of villus number, significant results were observed in duodenum, ileum and cecum. At day 35, T₂ and T, had significantly longer villus higher than T. (control) in the ileum. Villus number is significantly higher in Ts than T, (control), T₂ significantly lower than 1, and in cecum, T1, T2, and T3 are all significantly higher than control. The crypt depth in T3 and T4 were significantly higher than in T1 and T2 while T4 has the highest value in cecum. Results showed that supplementation of EM from 1% to 3% at day 28 and days 35 have generally positive effect in terms of villus height, villus number, and crypt depth. | Thesis (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) 28 cm..

Place hold on Gross and histopathologic evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract of broilers fed with diets supplemented with effective microorganisms/
