<br/><br/> A study was conducted to determine the efficacy of powdered neem seeds against gastrointestinal parasites in sheep. A total of twelve mature sheep were used in the study subjected to four treatments in three blocks with the used of randomized compete block design. Results of fecalysis showed the following parasites were present, Strongyloides papillosus. Trichuris ovis, Haemonchus contortus, Bunostomum trigonocephalum, Oesophagostomum columbianum. Ostertagia circumcincta and Trichostrogylus capricola.<br/><br/>Results show that Treatment 2 with 12 grams encapsulated powdered neem seeds showed the highest efficacy as anthelmintic against all identified gastrointestinal parasites in sheep with percentage efficacy reaching 100% against Strongyloides papillosus, Trichuris ovis, Bunostomum trigonocephalum, Ostertagia circumcincta and Trichostrogylus capricola Treatment 4 with 18 grams encapsulated powdered neem seeds was highly effective against Strongyloides papillosus and Trichuris ovis. Treatment 3 shows negative results at days 3 and 6 post-treatment and ineffective as anthelmintic. Treatment I was also highly effective against Bunostomum trigonocephalum but ineffective against the other nematodes. <br/><br/>Based on the findings of the study, farmers and raisers may consider the use of 12 grams encapsulated powdered neem seeds a dewormer against Strongyloides papillosus, Trichuris ovis, Bunostomum trigonocephalum, Ostertagia circumcincta and Trichostrogylus capricola.<br/>  Thesis (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
