	note = {The study determined the management practices and milk production parameters of dairy buffaloes in Cagayan Valley. The data were gathered primarily through an interview/survey questionnaire. Dairy buffalo owners in the provinces of Cagayan Valley that were interviewed are from Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya. Dairy buffalo farmers (n = 22) were interviewed to identify the management practices of dairy buffaloes. Survey showed that majority of the respondents were backyard dairy buffalo farmers in San Agustin, Isabela.

The demographic information of farmers, farm operation profile, breeding system, health management, biosecurity measures, feeding management, housing management, milking management, and individual animal profile were collected and compared with the backyard and commercial dairy buffalo farming. Analysis using Pearson Chi-square test revealed that certain factors are associated with the milking parameters in dairy buffalo. The study showed that the number of litters of milk per day was determined statistically significant (p < 0.05. p < 0.012) with the frequency of water, (p < 0.01 p <0.002) with the type of milking, time of milking was also found significant at the level (p < 0.01, p < 0) to the number of litters of milk per day.
