TI - Fabrication and performance evaluation of biogas bottling system biofuel PY - 2023/// CY - Bayombong PB - Nueva Vizcaya State University N1 - Biogas is an agricultural recycling method formed by the anaerobic decomposition of organic matter like swine manure. Production and demand of usage requires compression and a bottling system since it is often referred to be inefficient due to its lack of accessibility to the consumers. Prominent researches from the country of India on bottling biogas resulted only to 4 to 5 bar of pressure had a 14 to 30-minute running condition, respectively. Alternatively, a portable biogas bottling system was fabricated to evaluate the performance in terms of refilling and cooking time. A preliminary test was conducted to determine the capacity of the bottling system. The major components are: 1 m³ temporary storage bag, 1 hp electric powered compressor, and 6. 7 kg, 11.4 kg and 13. 05 kg of cylinder tank collectively joined with regulator hose fastened by hose clamps with screw locks fixed with thread seal tape. Connection passages are having check valves. In order to fill 6, 6.5, and 7 bar of pressure. Final testing and evaluation indicated that Tank 1, weighing 6.7 kg with 8 L volume, was the ideal cylinder tank which was statistically proven to have significance in cooking time by Duncan's Multiple-Range Test. Simple cost analysis was performed to calculate the operating cost and return of investment. The initial cost of investment was P 23, 741.19 operating at 40 refills generating an income of P 309.56 per day with a payback period of 0.51 years and a return of investment of 95% ; Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering - AB Structure and Environmental Engineering); Includes bibliographical references and appendices ER -
