Having ancestral domain ownership was one of the wishes of every Indigenous People for them to acquire the full rights to protect, develop and cultivate their ancestral domain. Like any other municipality, Bayombong was composed of different Indigenous people groups that were hoping to have their own ancestral domain ownership. Thus, this study was conducted to determine the ancestral domain ownership in the municipality of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya that focused on the total area covered, number of beneficiaries, and the process and procedures in acquiring ownership. Ownership of ancestral domain is a part of life of every indigenous people. It became their necessity and one of the essential things in their lives that must be protected. In the result presented in this, it shows that in the municipality of Bayombong, the Ayangan tribe were the first Indigenous people group that acquired ancestral domain ownership through the application of CADT that was approved on February 02,2007. The total area was 1584.09 hectares that covered by four barangays of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya namely, Cabuaan, Casat, Ipil- Cuneg and Masoc. As years pass by, the Ayangan ancestral domain was inherited by the beneficiaries from their ancestors. Moreover, knowing the Ayangan ancestral ownership serve as an eye opener to the government offices that was assigned for the protection and monitoring of the ancestral domain and Indigenous People different issues. It creates notion that updating and regular monitoring ancestral domain within their areas were important and should not be neglected. To every Indigenous People, ancestral domain ownership was valuable and cannot be sold nor exchange for anything.
