N1  - 	The study compared the acaricidal effect of kakawate leaf with the commercially available acaricide (Coumaphos) The study was laid out using the Complete Randomized Design with the following Treatments: Treatment 1 - Coumaphos (Positive Control), Treatment 2-25% KLE, Treatment 3 -50% KLE, Treatment 4-75% KLE, Treatment 5 Fresh Kakawate leaf extract and Treatment 6 - Negative Control (Water). Each treatment was replicated 3 times. 

	The study revealed that the acaricidal effect of pure kakawate leaf is comparable to the commercial preparation (coumaphos) against Boophilus micro plus and can be used as a substitute control measure against cattle ticks.

	The study also determined that the cost of treatment using kakawate leaf was cheaper compared to the commercially available acaricide (coumaphos); Thesis (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine); Includes appendices and bibliographical references
