<subfield code="a">	A cost-efficient coco peat grinding machine was designed, fabricated, and tested using locally available materials and manufacturing technology. This machine aims to address the lack of specialized technology for processing coconut husk
The analysis of variance showed that the type of material had a significant effect on grinding efficiency, input capacity, and output performance. On the other hand, the input capacity was not significantly affected by the speed of operation.
The findings revealed that operating the machine at 4640 rpm with dried coconut husk resulted in the highest grinding efficiency of 94.00%. The maximum input capacity recorded was 0.24 kg/min when using dried coconut husk at a shaft speed of 2900 rpm. Dried husk produced the highest coco fiber output of 0.50 kg at sieve no. 10 (2mm) and 2900 rpm, while the highest cocopeat output of 0.25 kg came from dried husk at sieve no. 16 (1.25mm) at the same speed.
The cost of fabricating the machine is Php 31,482.00. The projected annual cost of the machine is Php 36,402 and break-even weight of 5,185.47 kg at custom rate of Php 11.32/kg
