  <note>This study conducted to evaluate behavior of public elementary school administrators the leadership as perceived by themselves and their teachers in the three northern districts of the Division of Nueva Vizcaya. It employed the Leadership Behavior Description Questionnaire (LBDQ) The subjects of the study were 154 public elementary school teachers and 22 school administrators of three northern districts of the Division of Nueva Vizcaya

A combination of statistical tools wan employed in the The descriptive statistics was used in describing the study. school administrators and teachers profiles, The F-test and the t-test was used to compare the perceptions made by the teachers and the administrators when they are grouped according to the selected variables.

Results of the study revealed that the administrators were generally more than 50 years of age, married and have earned advanced degrees. They were usually principals and were administrators within the last 18 years, have served their present schools within the  four sense On the other hand, teachers were generally and married They were generally pursuing advanced degrees, were in the service within the  210 years and are working with they present administrators who were mostly principle within the last four

The hypotheses tented revealed that only the teachers  and educational qualification were significantly associated with their perceptions administrators on the leadership behavior of their This means that the stem of the teachers has something to do with their perceptions Those in the age belonging in the age bracket of 48-50 had significantly lower perceptions on the leadership behavior of their administrators as compared to teachers in the other age brackets. Meanwhile.

teachers with master's degrees tended to have significantly lower perceptions.

Hone among the selected administrators variables were found to be significantly associated with their perceptions on their leadership behavior. namely: initiating dimension. consideration dimension, and overall behavior structure leadership. The perception of the teachers  administrators on the administrators leadership behavior were statistically comparable which means that both groups of respondents viewed the leadership behavior of public elementary school administrator at the same level

The following are recommended for future studien: superiorn and peers assessment on administrators leadership behavior should be included in the assessment of administrators leadership behavior. Other variables must be tried in assessing the differences on the perception of the teachers and administrators. This may include factor such nu pakikisama or flexibility of approach and pagkamahinahon or maximum tolerance as use of enhancing leadership behavior. Other categories of leadership functions regulating, informing, supporting, evaluating be also assessed to assure an organizational climate that fosters maximum organizational performance.</note>
