<br/><br/> This study was conducted to investigate the presence of antibiotic residues in kidneys of hogs slaughtered in Solano, Bayombong and Bambang slaughterhouses in Nueva Vizcaya. To evaluate this, 82 kidney samples were collected from the newly opened carcasses. The samples were tested through Microbial Inhibition Test (MIT). <br/><br/>Results of the study revealed that residues of streptomycin, tetracycline and ciprofloxacin were not present on all of the samples tested in three municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya namely Solano, Bayombong and Bambang. Such results imply that the hog raisers and owners can be said to have not used antibiotics on animals or have observed the required withdrawal period of antibiotics prior to slaughter.<br/>  Thesis (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
