	note = {	Student achievement is not simply a matter of what happens in school. Although schools can and do make a significant difference, researchers have identified numerous factors which can affect students' success. The researcher categorized the variables that can affect student achievement like (1) school characteristics, (2) the teacher characteristics and (3) the student characteristics.

	This study was conducted to establish the determinants of the Science and Technology achievements of the senior students of Solano High School. Specifically, it sought to find out the school characteristic, teachers' characteristics and students characteristics; what Science and Technology achievements of senior students was in terms of their grades in Science and Technology 1 (Integrated Science), Science and Technology II (Biology), Science and Technology III (Chemistry) and Science and Technology IV (Physics), if there was a significant difference among the Science and Technology achievements of the senior students in the various Science subjects, if there was a significant relationship between the Science and Technology achievements of the senior students and teachers' characteristics; if there was a significant relationship between the Science and Technology achievements of the senior students and students' characteristics, and identify the determinants of the Science and Technology achievements of senior students of Solano High School.

	There were 10 Science teachers and 130 senior students chosen as the respondents of this study. Two instruments were used in the study questionnaires for teachers and students and the Form 137 of the senior students to acquire their Science and Technology achievement. The results of pre-testing were statically analyzed wherein the Cronbach Alpha Reliability Coefficient had a value of 0.8874 which was highly significant. This means that the pre-tested instrument was reliable.

	The data were collected on January 2007, after the first three periodical tests was finished foe the senior students. The data on Science and Technology achievement grades were obtained from the Registrar Office of Solano High School using Secondary data

	Analysis was done using the descriptive statistics, Pearson's Product-moment Correlation Coefficient, Cramer's C Coefficient, F-test and Multiple Regression Analysis (stepwise procedure).

	There is a significant difference among the Science and Technology achievements of the senior students. Specifically, their performance in Science and Technology 1 (Integrated Science) and Science and Technology IV (Physics) were comparable and significantly higher than that of Science and Technology II (Biology) and Science and Technology III (Chemistry) which were comparably lower. Teaching load and teaching method were found to be related with the Science and Technology achievement of the senior students with teachers' characteristics. Age and textbooks were found to be related with the Science and Technology achievement of the senior students.

	There are 4 determinants for the Science and Technology achievements of senior students of Solano High School were found. These are teaching load and teaching method for the teachers' characteristics and age and textbooks for students' characteristics. Specifically, for Science and Technology I, the determinant are Textbook and Teaching load, Science and Technology II are textbook, students' age and teaching method, Science and Technology III are textbook, students' age and teaching method and Science and Technology IV is the textbook.
