The study focuses on designing and implementing an automated system equipped with real-time monitoring capabilities to maintain optimal dissolved oxygen levels in tilapia farming. The system is triggered when oxygen levels fall below a set threshold. ensuring continuous and precise oxygenation. Preliminary and final testing of the system evaluates its functionality, reliability, usability, and maintainability, comparing its performance to traditional manual methods. Data gathered using the 6141WT-G Dissolved Oxygen Test Kit were analyzed and compared with measurements from the developed automated aeration system. To evaluate the system's performance across various dimensions-functionality, reliability, usability, and maintainability the researchers utilized survey questionnaires.
The findings demonstrate that the automated system significantly enhances water quality management in tilapia farming by providing stable and sufficient oxygen levels, thus improving fish health and growth. The overall satisfaction with the system resulted in a mean of 4.73 with a standard deviation of 0.52, indicating that respondents were very satisfied. This high level of satisfaction reflects the system's effectiveness in addressing the critical needs of aquaculture operations, aligning with previous research on the essential role of aeration systems in aquaculture Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering - AB Process Engineering)
