note = {The study was conducted to determine the trapping efficacy of different concentrations of Arthrobotrys oligospora spores against nematodes of native chicken and to compare the cost of treatment among the different treatments.

Twenty-four native chickens were used in the study There were two experiments done, one was the oral administration of Arthrobotrys ohgospora to native chickens and the other one was the application of Arthrobotrys oligospora on fecal samples collected from the chickens The first experiment had four treatments with three replications each. Each replication had two experimental animals and were randomly distributed to the cages using the Complete Randomized Design The second experiment had three treatments with three replications each Treatments 1 to 4 were given to the chickens orally and treatments 5 to 7 were applied on fecal samples.

Results showed that treatment 3 (4, 000 spores of Arthrobotrys oligospora) and treatment 4 (6, 000 spores of Arthrobotrys oligospora) were effective against Dispharynx sp after 96 and 144 hours of treatment, treatment 2 (2, 000 spores of Arthrobotrys oligospora) is highly effective after 144 hours of treatment Treatments 2, 3, and 4 were effective after 96 hours of treatment and were highly effective against Heterakis gallinarum after 144 hours of treatment Treatments 2 and 4 were effective against Capillaria sp. after 144 hours of treatment and all the treatments were comparable to the efficacy of fenbendazole.

Results on the study on treatments 5 to 7 showed that Arthrobotrys oligospora was ineffective against Capillaria sp., Dispharynx sp., and Heterakis gallinarum.

The costs of treatment for treatments 1 to 4 were Php 6.00, 2.34, 4.68 and 7.02. respectively. Cost of treatment of Arthrobotrys oligospora is cheaper compared to the commercial anthelmintic used.
