<br/><br/> 	This study focuses on using a GIS software in geotagging agricultural land use in the municipality of Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya It aims to generate different GIS-based maps of the agricultural lands in the municipality. The study was conducted using GIS application to observe and analyze areas and locations of the Agricultural lands in the municipality. The following data layers were needed to create this GIS: Base map image, Digital Elevation Model, topography, roads, property boundaries, current land use, etc. Approximately 19,732.80 hectares has an elevation of below 500masl representing 86.81% of the total land area of the municipality. Elevation of 500-1000masl comprises 13.19% of the total land area of Diadi mostly located in the southeastern part bordering the municipality of Quezon and province of Quirino. Forest and forestlands (FFL) of Diadi is 18,970.80 hectares or 83.5% of the total land area of the municipality. The FFL is significant to the municipality's social, economic and cultural development while providing for other environmental services such as protection of lives and properties, recreation and maintenance of micro-climate. The FFLs' capacity to provide for economic and environmental services however, has been drastically reduced because of its degradation. Various anthropogenic activities such as forest fires, land conversion and land use change, timber poaching among others has caused this degradation. It was also found that farm products considering that majority of the provincial roads and barangay roads connecting the public market, the national highway. Lastly, it was also found that GIS can really be of great used by community-based planners to create capacity and promote sustainability over the long future in conjunction with current data and local knowledge.
