N1  - The study determined the in vitro efficacy of chrysanthemum flower crude extract (CFCE) against cattle tick (Rhipicephalus micro plus) and compared the efficacy of different concentrations of CFCE with a synthetic pyrethroid (cypermethrin) at different exposure time.

The study was laid out following the Complete Randomized Design (CRD), with the following treatments treatment 1 (cypermethrin) as the positive control, treatment 2 (water) as the negative control, treatment 3 (50% CFCE), treatment 4 (75% CFCE) and treatment 5 (100% CFCE). 

Based on the results of the study, it was proven that 100% chrysanthemum flower crude extract (CFCE) was comparable with that of cypermethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid The other two concentrations (50% and 75%) of CFCE had lower efficacies compared to the 100% concentration against adult cattle tick (Rhipicephalus micro plus).

The results of the study revealed an increasing trend of percentage mortality as the concentration of CFCE increased. The time of exposure also showed increasing percentage mortality the longer the ticks were exposed to the extract
