Learners attitudes, study habits. and performance in health optimizing physical education (hope)/ Marisa M. This study investigated the relationship influencing attitudes, study habits, and performance in Health Optimizing Physical Education (HOPE) among Grades 11 and 12 learners at Tiblac National High School and Ambaguio High School during the first semester of the the school year 2023-2024. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational research design, the researcher determined the sample size using G*Power analysis. Majority of the respondents were 18 years old, mainly female, and from grade 12 academic track. The average parental educational level was elementary for the fathers and high school for the mothers, with a monthly family income of PhP5,000 or below. The findings showed that the learners generally had a positive attitude towards HOPE, especially in terms of activity-related factors, while a moderate level of agreement to satisfaction and teacher factors. In terms of study habits, the learners expressed agreement on study styles, while a moderate agreement on the study routines and time. The result also showed that the learners' performance in HOPE was highly satisfactory, with an average score of 88.89. The research found age and parental educational background had played a significant role in influencing the students' attitudes and participation in physical education (PE). Reversely, students with lower parental educational background expressed discomfort. For grade 12 students who demonstrated excellent performance in PE activities found them relevant and encouraging for personal exercise. On the other hand, grade 11 students specifically the males with higher parental education and income demonstrated excellent performance in HOPE. Performance of the learners was greatly affected by prioritized academic preparation, tailored study habits, active engagement in class, and thorough note-taking activity. Additionally, students who value physical education, manage discomfort, and leverage strengths achieved better performance. Moreover, advanced reading, pre-lesson review, and learning style consideration were correlated with improved performance in HOPE.
