The massive increase of vehicles volume in our community has made road traffic become extremely crowded. Footbridges become the most vulnerable users of the road to get traffic accidents, especially during rush hour. (Heldak, 2021). Pedestrian bridges are constructions placed over roadways so that pedestrians can cross them without having to take longer, frequently unavailable routes or impede the flow of cars. By relocating people away from oncoming traffic, proponents of these buildings claim that they are designed for the safety of pedestrians. In truth, pedestrian bridges just perpetuate the dominance of vehicles over people on the streets by displacing people. (Transport Matter 2019) We have also taken into consideration the impact of the footbridge on the local ecosystem and have chosen materials and construction methods that will minimize any negative effects.
