Alagano  aBayombong:bNueva Vizcaya State University,c2023.  ax, 99 leaves :bcolored illustations ;c28 cm.  aThe study aims to determine citizen e-participation practices in the barangay local government units of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya and made use of mixed-method research design through a structured questionnaire and personal interview to attain the objectives of the study. The results and findings were presented in narrative method indicated in tabular forms.

Results of the study show that (a) Facebook is the most utilized media application in e-participation; (b) appointment scheduling is the most used barangay transaction in barangay e-participation; (c) c-participation mostly involved participation in governance; (d) barangay citizen e-participation practices such as information, dissemination, compliance of private institutions to local ordinances, awareness of residents to barangay activities and programs, and online engagement of residents, are oftentimes practiced; (e) e-participation is practiced in the barangay local governance, however, issues and challenges such as technology access, technology proficiency, and instruction are encountered resulting to fall short in prospects.

The study developed a model to improve the implementation of e-participation in the barangay based on the issues and challenges encountered which requires collaborative actions of essential government agencies.
