N1  - This research established the extent of teachers' usage of teaching methods and instructional materials, performance in the Competency-Based Performance Appraisal System for Teachers (CB-PAST) and the performance of Grade VI pupils in the National Achievement Test for School Years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 in Dupax del Norte I and II Districts, Division of Nueva Vizcaya.

	This research employed the descriptive-correlation method. The descriptive method was utilized to describe the extents of teachers' usage of teaching methods and instructional materials and the level of performance of pupils in the NAT. The correlation method was employed to determine the extent to which different variables are related to each other. The stratified proportionate random sampling, Slovin formula and fishbowl technique were used to determine the sample, sample size and respondents of the study, respectively. A structured questionnaire was used to gather pertinent data. Descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation were used to describe the extent of usage of teaching methods and instructional materials and the level of performance in the NAT. The Pearson r was used to determine the relationship between variables.

	Teachers, at all times, use a variety of teaching methods in the delivery of subject matter to their pupils. Time and again, teachers use a combination of different instructional materials to enhance the presentation and development of their learning contents. The performance level of the pupils in public elementary schools of Dupax del Norte Districts in the National Achievement Test (NAT) for 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 is moving towards mastery.

	The higher the extent of teachers' usage of collaborative and cooperative learning method, and problem-based learning method, the higher the level of performance of the pupils in the 2012-2013 National Achievement Test (NAT). Further, the higher the extent of teachers' usage of problem-based learning method, multi-sensory learning method and the overall extent, the higher the level of performance of the pupils in the 2013-2014 National Achievement Test (NAT).

	The higher the extent of teachers' usage of audio-visual aids, the higher the level of performance of pupils in the 2012-2013 National Achievement Test. Further, the higher the extent of teachers' usage of different instructional materials which includes audio aids, visual aids, audio-visual aids, multi-sensory aids and overall extent, the higher the level of performance of the pupils in 2013-2014 the National Achievement Test (NAT).
	When the teachers are categorized as experienced in communicating learning goals; using appropriate instructional materials (IMs); making good use of time and promoting study, the pupils are likely to manifest a moving towards mastery performance in the NAT particularly in Science, English, HEKASI, and Filipino subjects.
