Technology is undeniably a vital tool that innovated the construction industry in such a way that it made project works very efficient and more accurate. On such account, the interest to explore how much the locality have adapted in the advancement of modern technological tools was set to be the goal of the study. The researchers then sought to assess how much the local construction in Nueva Vizcaya particularly in the capital town of Bayombong have innovated and adapted in the advancements of techniques and tools in planning and scheduling. For this reason, the study's title was formulated: Planning and Scheduling Practices of Constructions at Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. To have a better understanding, the researchers included to study their preferred tools and techniques and collect their insights on challenges, advantages, and effectiveness of their preference. The selected respondents were construction professionals in government and private construction agencies based in Bayombong Nueva Vizcaya. With quantitative method of approach, a survey questionnaire is utilized for an accurate analysis of the respondents' feedback. The questionnaire contains demographic profile as well as Four-Point Likert questions interpreted through Relative Importance Index (RII). For the demography, employment rate and job opportunities in planning and scheduling career was revealed to be higher in government sectors of construction than in private sectors for the capital town. Subsequently, the research emphasized the ranking of traditional techniques, network tools and visualization tools according to frequency of usage by the respondents. The analysis of the survey questionnaires shows that Gantt chart was the most utilized traditional scheduling technique. PERT and CPM on the other hand are the combinations mostly used for network planning. For visualization tools, it was revealed in the study the high dependency of the respondents to MS Excel and lack of diversity in their usage of different software that are more efficient in making schedules.
