<br/><br/> 	Building residential building is an essential element in a country's growth but not in all cases, we will think about expenses. It has differences that make them unique from its authentic architectural design to the integrity of its structural designs.<br/><br/>	This study determines the differences, advantages, disadvantages and compares the actual cost of the specific engineered and non-engineered buildings in Barangay Salvacion, Bayombong. Nueva Vizcaya, focusing on the identification of which building is better to build. Through qualitative research methods, the study identified the estimated direct cost which is divided into eight work descriptions; earthworks, structural concrete & frameworks, steel reinforcement, roofing works, finishing & furnishing, carpentry works, plumbing works, and electrical works including their labor, materials and equipment that was being spent and paid. It also identified the actual indirect cost that was being paid by the owner on engineering cost, contingency cost and other fees. Meanwhile, these gathered data from the respondents in response to the comparisons in the said buildings are engineered buildings have longer life span, saves superior energy, material efficiency, more economical in terms of maintenance compared to non-engineered buildings.<br/><br/>	The study emphasizes the need to understand why should buildings construct with a licensed engineer. Additionally, the researchers encouraged people to construct their house by an engineer because an engineered building ensure the durability, safety, security, and most importantly, more economical to build.
