<br/><br/> The study was conducted to evaluate the growth performance and cost effectiveness of using homemade probiotics. The experiment was laid out in a Completely Randomized Design with the following treatments TI-10% liquid content of rice porridge fermented with Lactobacillus caser, T2- 30% liquid content of rice porridge fermented with Lactobacillus casei, T3- Positive Control- commercially available growth promoter chlortetracycline-vitamin A/B12 and T4- Negative Control-pure water. A total of eighty-four (84) game fowl straight run chicks were used, each treatment had three replicates with seven (7) experimental units The result of the study showed that in terms of growth performance measured through ADG, T2 showed the highest ADG of 99 5023 grams followed by T4, T1 and 13 with ADG of 67 6531 grams, 67 3500 grams, and 58 8241 grams, respectively. The study also revealed that in terms of cost effectiveness measured through FCR and ROI, T2 was significantly higher than the other treatments. In terms of FCR, T2 has 4.585% followed by T1 (5.883%), T3 (6.750%), T4 (7 108%) The ROI shows that T2 has 52.05%, followed by T1 (49.94%), T4 (43.66%), and T3 (38.46%).
