The objectives were to identify the types and phases of construction waste generation, analyze environmental factors influencing waste handling, and determine effective disposal methods. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, quantitative data were collected through structured surveys, while qualitative insights were gathered through interviews with key stakeholders, including construction workers, site managers, and contractors. The results revealed a need for enhanced on-site waste segregation, better adherence to waste management regulations like RA 9003, and improved practices for handling non-biodegradable materials. Key findings include the significant environmental risks posed by improper waste storage and disposal, such as canal clogging, pest breeding, and air pollution. Additionally, resistance to waste management practices and a lack of proper facilities hinder effective disposal. Recommendations emphasize sustainable waste handling practices, including structured segregation, recycling initiatives, and municipal collaboration to repurpose reusable materials. This research contributes to a comprehensive understanding of construction waste management, providing actionable insights to improve sustainability and reduce environmental harm in the local construction sector.
