<subfield code="a">The magnetic water technology (MWT) enhanced the growth characteristics of tilapia and lettuce as well as improves the water quality parameters in the aquaponics system. Magnetic water is water that is produced when it passes through a magnetic field with the purpose of changing its structure. After water passes through a magnetic field of certain strength, it is called magnetically treated water or magnetic water. The productivity of tilapia exposed to magnetic water obtained a highest mean increase from 20.50cm to 23.50cm length and from 163.75g to 198.75g weight. Productivity of lettuce in terms of number of leaves, length of roots, height and weight, the garnered highest mean when not exposed to magnetic water was 12, 25.63cm, 21.51cm and 47.59g, respectively while 13, 30.93cm, 25.74cm and 57.39g, respectively when exposed to magnetic water. For water quality with respect to pH, the highest mean obtained was 8.32 when not exposed to magnetic water while 7.40 when exposed to magnetic water. The water temperature is within the favorable limits for the growth and survival of tilapia and lettuce with approximately 28°C when exposed to and not exposed to magnetic water. The dissolved oxygen highest mean obtained was 10.15mg/l when not exposed to magnetic water while 11.06mg/l when exposed to magnetic water. The aquaponics system entailed an investment cost of ₱ 32,479.15 and annual net income generated of ₱ 7,868.40/yr. The projected time needed to recover cost of the system was 4.13 yr.  </subfield>
