<br/><br/>         The study was conducted to determine the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in pigs slaughtered at Cauayan City Abbatoir. In addition, this was conducted to find out the relationship of the prevalence of nematodes on pig’s age, sex, origin and method of rearing. The systematic random sampling used to gather the 100 pigs slaughtered of boxes sexes.<br/><br/>	The result revealed that ascarissuum was the only parasites found in the pigs slaughtered at Cauayan City Abbatoir. It also showed that occurrences of the gastrointestinal parasites have no relationship with the age, sex, and origin of the animal. However, the method of rearing of animal has greatly influenced the occurrence of gastrointestinal parasite infection, thirty percent (30%) of the pigs slaughtered infected with Ascarissuum were under backyard conditions.<br/>  Thesis (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
