<br/><br/> The study determined the in vitro efficacy of damong maria ethanolic extract (DMEE) against brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and compared the efficacy in different concentrations of DMEF with amitraz at different exposure tune.<br/><br/>The study was laid out following Complete Randomized Design (CRD), with the following treatments treatment 1 (amitraz) as the positive control, treatment 2 (water) as the negative control, treatment 3 (25% DMEE), treatment 4 (50% DMEE) and treatment 5 (75% DMEE). Two (2) milliliters of amitraz, water, and the different concentrations of damong maria ethanolic extract were sprayed on each plastic container containing filter paper and ticks.<br/>Based on the result of the study, treatment 5 (75% DMEE) has high acaricidal activity, while treatment 4 (50% DMEE) has moderate acaricidal activity They are significantly different from treatment 3 (25% DMEE) which has low acaricidal activity and treatment 2 (negative control-water) which has no acaricidal activity at all The results of the study revealed that as the concentration and exposure time to DMEE is increased, tick mortality also increases.<br/>  Thesis (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
