<br/><br/> The study determined the prevalence of nematode parasite in buffaloes in Cagayan Valley Fecal samples from buffaloes (n-119) were collected and subjected to flotation and Baermann technique to identify parasite eggs and larva Fecalysis showed an extremely high level of infection with 85 out of 119 buffaloes (71 42%) infected with at least one type of parasite Eggs belonging to four genera of parasites Strongyloides sp., Cooperia sp., Toxocara sp, Trichostrongylus sp were identified from the samples collected. Strongyloides sp. were identified to be the most common nematode parasite affecting the buffaloes Buffalo farmers (n=22) were interviewed to identify the risk factors associated with the nematode parasite infection of buffaloes Milk parameter and buffalo profile were collected Milk parameter were compared with the infection rate of identified parasites Analysis using Pearson Chi-square test revealed that increased level of parasite infection is associated with the average litter of milk yield per day in buffalo Variables under the average litter of milk yield per day were found to be associated with infection with the parasites identified. Evaluation of the knowledge, attitude and practices of buffalo farmers is needed to provide a comprehensive picture on the dynamics of nematode infection in buffaloes in Cagayan Valley.
